It is our mission to continue Bruce Panfil’s charitable legacy with Rock and Ride for the Cure, uniting family and friends to raise money for pancreatic cancer research.  Rock and Ride for the Cure is a non-profit 501(c)(3) that is determined to help find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer. All proceeds from Rock and Ride for the Cure go to the Pancreas Center at the Columbia University Medical Center.

On May 31 of 2014 the first Rock and Ride for the Cure was held. Originally created by family and friends to raise funds for Bruce’s escalating medical bills and treatment expenses, Bruce realized the potential RARFTC had to help others.

Understanding the suffering pancreatic cancer has on all those diagnosed, Bruce wanted Rock and Ride for the Cure to become an annual event so it could continue to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer research.

As Bruce became sicker, he asked that we continue RARFTC. Bruce also asked that funds raised be directed to the Pancreas Center at the Columbia University Medical Center, the only one treatment center he visited that offered him real hope.

We are honored to continue the RARFTC in Bruce’s memory. His fighting spirit remains an inspiration for all of us. It is our goal to make RARFTC a premier annual fundraising event and make it a significant source of funds for Pancreatic Cancer research.
